Here at Quasar, we manufacture a range of wood veneer layons. These are bespoke, as they are made to the customer’s requirements.
A layon is the veneer layer that gives an engineered piece of wood the appearance of solid wood. To create a veneer layon, veneer leaves are measured, cut to size and stitched together to the required dimensions.

The Veneer Layer That Creates the Solid Wood Look
A layon is the decorative veneer face used to give an engineered board, door or panel the appearance of solid wood. It allows the natural beauty of real wood veneer to be applied to a stable substrate.
To manufacture a layon, Quasar measures and cuts the veneer leaves to size before stitching them together. This creates a prepared veneer face that can be pressed onto a chosen substrate.
Natural, Dyed, Designer and Reconstituted Options
Layons can be made from a wide range of veneers, including natural, dyed, designer and reconstituted options displayed in our showroom.

Veneer leaves are opened like a book, creating a mirrored grain pattern. This is ideal for decorative surfaces where symmetry is important.

Veneer leaves are laid side by side in sequence, creating a more consistent grain flow across the surface.
Random Matched
Veneer leaves are arranged with a more natural variation, helping create a less uniform and more organic appearance.
